After months and months of planning a four-month long trip to places in Asia we'd long wanted to visit, we hit a major snafu, namely the coronavirus! We're still leaving tomorrow but have had to take out our three weeks in Nepal, Tibet and mainland China and put those aside for a future trip, God willing. Instead, we added a return to the Middle East to tour some countries we've long wanted to explore. So, one door closed and another one opened!
Each of our overseas trips the last seven years have had their share of 'adventure' but, with this year's coronavirus, that adds a whole different level to this trip to Asia and the Middle East. It's a mite bit scary, admittedly, wondering how it may affect our travels and whether we might be quarantined at any point on the trip. Weeks ago, at the first hint of the virus, Steven had the foresight to load up on face masks, hand sanitizer, and wipes - what a smart man I married!

I also plan to finish writing posts from our trip to Ireland and the UK from last September and October interspersed with posts from the East.
